Bobalania Wins Microvision Song Contest!

Bobalania has won the microvision Song Contest which started in October 2007 with the song Worried about Ray – The Hoosiers, here are the final votes:

1000 Post Milestone Reached!

Bobalania Appoints New Deputy Prime Minister!

Bobalania has appointed a new Deputy Prime Minister here is his speech:

Calling all Bobalanians

Your good Prime Minister, Mr Bobbie Bailey, has entrusted me with the responsibility of becoming your new Deputy Prime Minister, a position which I have gratefully accepted.

I hope that by working with you and your Prime Minister we can create a better Bobalania, where all Bobalanians have an equal say in the running of the country, where everyones say is respected
and where everyone involves themselves in national matters.

In order to achieve greater participation and a better Bobalania for all, I have some propositions for
Bobalania…

Firstly there should be more citizen input, when deciding the path Bobalania takes…
the citizens should have a say on all issues which affect them by being able to vote on these issues.
One or more political parties could be formed to represent the people with elections to vote candidates
into government.

Secondly the Government should be re-structured, with Government departments being given clear responsibilities
over their specific area. For example the Foreign Minister should (in conjunction with the Prime Minister)
be given responsibility of handling diplomatic relations with other nations.

Finally all citizens should have an input into a new Bobalanian set of Rights, in which, we set out the
rights of all Bobalanians to have an equal say in Bobalania’s affairs and outline other rights we see fit.

I look forward to a more active Bobalania!

Bobalania Forms Realtions with The Peoples Republic of K-Marx

On the 14th of November the following treaty was signed:

Treaty of Recognition between The Democratic Republic of Bobalania and The Peoples Republic of K-MarxThe treaty of recognition shall acknowledge the recognition between the above nations. This shall include land claims; of both macronational and micronational nature, external organization associated with the nations, and the general existence of the nations as a whole. Both nations will send a representative of there country every so often to the other nation to keep relations healthy and to ensure everything is ok in the other nation. The above nations may start an embassy on each others forums, if this is requested, here the representative of the other nation will become moderator of this board and will post regular updates within there home country. Both the nations will insert in their official website and any other sites, the link of the address (URL) of the other micronation. Bobalania Signs Treaty of Alliance with Jamzinia!

Bobalania has extended Relations with Jamzinia, below you can see the new treaty between the 2 Nations:

Between The Kingdom Of Jamzinia & Bobalania

The treaty of alliance shall acknowledge the alliance & friendship between the above nations. This shall include recognition of land claims; of both macronational and micronational nature, external organization associated with the nations, and the general existence of the nations as a whole.

Neither entity shall act hostile towards the other, nor shall either nation encourage another entity to do so.

Each nation agrees to provide unconditional military and moral support for the other nation in a case of hostility involving one of the nations.

Each nation shall also appoint a diplomat to pay regular visits to the other, ensuring the friendship remains firm.

Should a hostility arise, between the two nations, a meeting shall take place between the leaders of the two bodies, or delegated officials. Each nation may only forward one official. The purpose of the meeting shall be to avoid hostilities. Should an agreement not be reached, the treaty shall be dissolved, as shall it’s terms and moral value. Changes to this treaty may be made pending approval of leaders of both nations.

Bobalania Signs Treaty of Recognition with The Republic of Treithar!

Bobalania has signed a Treaty of Recognition with Treithar , below you can see the signed treaty:

Treaty of Recognition and Friendship between the Republic of Treithar and the Democratic Republic of Bobalania

We the undersigned, by mutual consent and free of coercion:

1. RECOGNISE that mutual recognition and respect is the essential foundation on which relations between two nations are built;

2. AFFIRM that both nations formally recognise each other as independent and sovereign nations;

3. ACKNOWLEDGE the importance of promoting friendship between our nations with the intent of developing greater international understanding and co-operation;

4. RESOLVE to pursue opportunities to work together in a spirit of understanding on matters of mutual interest;

5. UNDERSTAND the importance of maintaining relations on a long-term perspective;

6. CONCLUDE that this Treaty formally embodies the friendship and cooperation desirous between our governments and peoples of our two nations;

7. AGREE that either party may unilaterally withdraw from the Treaty after giving thirty days notice;

8. DECLARE that this Treaty is made only between the signatory nations and does not commit either nation in anyway to any other international or regional agreements to which either signatory nation is committed.

9. Amendment of this Treaty requires agreement between both signatory nations.

10. This Treaty comes into force upon ratification by duly authorised government officials from each signatory nation.
